It’s so easy for us to get caught up with what is wrong in our lives.  Maybe something isn’t going as planned or turned out the way you were hoping so you let yourself dwell on it. We tend to focus on the negative and throw ourselves little pity parties. There is always going to be someone who makes us angry or upset. There will be choices that we make, and we will have to pay the consequences. These things are inevitable. But the best thing we can do is put the pieces back together, and move forward.

“Identify your problems, but give your power and energy to solutions.” – Tony Robins

Yes, we need to acknowledge what isn’t working but don’t let it take up all of your time. We can’t let ourselves dwell on negativity. We need to shift our focus. What are we going to do about it?

We all know someone who is always complaining about their job and how much they despise it. But instead of complaining how much you don’t like your job or the circumstance you’re in, look for ways to change it. Try submitting applications elsewhere, take online courses required for a job you would find joy in. We’re all guilty of doing this for one reason or another.

And I know, it’s “easier said than done.” But is there somewhere you can shift your energy toward a solution? I know I’ll be challenging myself to identify those situations and switch my focus to finding solutions.
